    @hi for music definitely symfonium, in combination with self-hosted subsonic it's awesome

    for video i use VLC and photos just the stock gallery app, nothing fancy there

      photo: snapseed (proprietary, but the best photo editor on android), fossify gallery (not really favourite, but just ok gallery app, pretty customizable too)
      music: mucke (outdated, has lots of bugs, behaves weirdly on newer android, but i like it despite of it), auxio is pretty ok too
      video: mpv (classic), jellyfin (i host my own private server)

          I've enjoyed having switched from to recently - there's a couple of things to get used to, but overall I like it. My main goal with it is photo backup, and being able to search photos by content ("mum", or "pasta recipe").

          For music and video I use (but for audiobooks, and for podcasts).
