Where people previously on benefits, or 'the dole' in the United Kingdom could live comfortably albeit still hand to mouth. The current cost of living crisis compounded by an energy crisis has made it difficult even for people on that to get by without supplementing it with stuff from a food bank.

@hi voted "long term" but only because of the many people I'm lucky to have in my life that know i can turn to.
No illusions, there were very many points in the last 20 years where, if not for family and friends, I'd certainly be homeless, and quite possibly dead.
