what is your most common use case for nowadays? private emails and chats? encrypted backups and signed binaries? how often do you actually use it?

    @hi 1-2x a year tops. It’s such a colossal waste of time, every time, to use it. Email.

      @hi

      I don't really use it anymore. Switched to age for file encryption and iterated my own cipher for emails: ROT-676, which is 26 times as secure as ROT-26.

          git commits signing; I have it enabled in mutt too but no one I know uses gpg so it is in vain.

            @hi daily encrypted emails (thinking about encrypted backups, but not sure i want that dependency for that use case)

              Encrypted from stuff in my VPS.
              E-Mail ... well not really worth to mention.
              Mainly in but that's so low level, that I'm not sure if that's something >>I<< do.

                Started playing with it out of curiosity and for fun at first, now I mostly use it with Pass (the password manager) and the occasional Git thing here and there.

                  @hi none. I used to use it. But noone else did. And I had no security/privacy usage for emails.
