@freecad Simple and useful! I needed some plugs for a 3D filament dry box. Three sketches, three pads, one fillet and one chamfer. All adjustable via variables in the Spreadsheet workbench. Good to go! Printed in a flexible TPU. https://www.printables.com/model/1817711-parametric-hole-plug #freecad

… didn't miss yesterday's #FreeCADfriday – it was just too late for the result: Another example of my minimalistic "why buy when I can create" lamps. This one is for my work desk.
The only thing I actually had to spend money on was a new retro "Bakulit" bulb holder, that threads into nicely.
This week, I created this combination wrench tray for my toolbox in #FreeCAD.
Normally, this would have been a lot of work, but I tried something new. I took about 100 measurements (10 for each wrench), took a picture of the measurement sheet, and gave it to #ClaudeCode connected to the #FreeCAD MCP. I told it to create VarSets from the measurements and explained how I wanted to construct the PartDesign, and it went to work.
It was still a lot of back and forth to dial everything in. In the end, I had a #Python macro that creates this PartDesign. Fully parameterized with about 130 parameters, I can change just about anything.
Have you heard about the 'CAD Showdown' we did at #emfcamp ?
Where participants compete in #FreeCAD and #KiCad to show of their skills and - more important - have fun together?
It will come back at #OSHOP on 23rd of September in Halle, Germany!
We might even have 'real' prices for the winners. In any case you can gain glory and fame.
OSHOP is running for the 3rd time now. There will be nice workshops and awesome people.

Crikey! It's #FreeCADFriday once again, where does the time go?! Show us what you are working on with #FreeCAD at the moment, and, have a great weekend all! #CAD
Just been exploring an amazing @freecad macro that enables importing of plane airfoil files and renders them as smooth curved airfoil sections. It's super handy for those designing wings. Just made a video on my @MakerTube acc as a small walkthrough installation and use. #opensource #CAD #FreeCAD #drone #fixedwing #making

@freecad Oh it's #freecadfriday already!
Well here's one for the "must you 3D print everything" category.
Our arcade's new toilet has this tiniest of the tiny sink. We've had the soap dispenser on it awkwardly behind the tap while I've been hoping to find some kind of a wall mountable solution. All I could find was those flimsy suction cup mounted ones that you'll find on the floor after a while.
I measured the the space between the wall and the sink and then made this. It fits there snugly and holds the soap bottle where it's actually easy to use from.
It's #FreeCADFriday! Hope all you wonderful folk have had a great week. Show us what you are working on in #FreeCAD. #CAD
@freecad
I'm testing out ideas for a mounting (other that sticky tape 😹) for those #velomobile brake cooling air scoops I did earlier this summer.
