    After a couple of days working properly, two weeks of holiday sleep and a BackToWork day, the $WORK #ThinkPad L14 gen 6 running Windows 11 went woooo again! Two unsolicited reboots, and 5 no-more-sound-until-reboot in 2 days… All during #Teams sessions.

    Went to IT guys and asked for another machine. I should get a « previous gen » tomorrow.

    Probably the only time they see a person asking for an older laptop… 🙄 Actually, I asked for a working laptop 😆

        Still puzzled by my running 15.1-RELEASE-p1 as if I run doas poweroff or doas shutdown -p now or even doas reboot or doas shutdown -r now it will do as expected. But if I leave my laptop for say 10-30 minutes without any screen lockers it will start to reboot or poweroff and unmount geli then start detaching devices like USB and it then hangs indefinitely.
        It used to work in 15 I'm sure it did as I always poweroff at night. I have submitted a bug but I can for the life of me figure this out as it doesn't make sense ????
        What difference would leaving the laptop running for an hour make to a shutdown or reboot command? I'm using efi too and everything seems fine I think??
        Any suggestions glady accepted.

          Oh well that's my P14s Gen 1 AMD BIOS updated to it's latest 1.56 and my custom Beastie boot logo reapplied. God knows why none of my USB2 memory sticks would read until I inserted the USB3 ones but hey they are all being detected now so that's that.

            Nice wee update on my now that I'm using pkg for updates instead of freebsd-update and everything went smoothly. I'm now running FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p1. :beastie: :runbsd:
