Because I can't stop myself, I'm procrastinating by further tweaking #ocular to add next/prev to detail views and improving the navigation so that when we come back to the feed we go straight to the same image we were just exploring.

The nice thing about small projects is that they are really easy to hack around with them. In a couple of hours I modified @rostiger #ocular image feed generator to my liking, adding a custom html detail view for each page, removed the webring feed generator and modified the styles, navigation and such.

Pretty happy with it now, and even happier I can easily change it whenever I feel like I need to add something else

This weekend I took a few photos from the show my friends Hermann Gäns and Alicia Cuevas played on "La Via Lactea".

We enjoyed some chill ambient electronic music played with modular synths and piano.

A tribute to Piku Niku that I painted today with my 12 year old that also inspired their artist moniker "Niku".

Had a nice hike day today, took a few pictures that I'll be processing in the next days. This one came out quite nice, and I've perhaps gone a bit too far with the magenta tint, but I'm going for a more stylized look here.

After a long and annoying journey, my new music player is a used 6th gen iPod classic with a new 128GB SSD harddrive. I installed Rockbox, a replacement firmware that bypasses the need for iTunes and allows custom skins for the iPod interface.

On another note, #ocular now automatically paginates entries with a lot of pictures, so the webring page doesn't (lazy) load over 1000 images at once - hooray! Also feeds are now stored locally and only downloaded if they changed on the server.

I've been reading less books recently than I would like to and I find myself having difficulties making the time and focus available for them. When I stumbled across these graphic novels at the library, it re-ignited my love for the medium and I've been thoroughly enjoying them with much gusto in the past days.
